Rose Marie (Chance) Peterson, 73, Roosevelt, Oklahoma, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, February 25, 2012. She was born on October 2, 1938 in Roosevelt, OK to Sam and Lela (Armstrong) Chance. Rose grew up in Roosevelt and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1956. After graduation she moved to Loyalton, CA to be near her parents. While living there she worked in a physician's office for many years while raising her three beautiful daughters. She moved back to Oroville, CA where she loved devoting much of her time to her flower and vegetable gardens. After Christmas 2009 she returned to Roosevelt, Oklahoma to renew old acquaintances. Rose and Dwight Peterson were married on September 11, 2011. Rose and Dwight enjoyed their time together riding the motorcycle in Oklahoma and Colorado; traveling to visit family in Nevada and California; and attending OKC Thunder basketball games. She loved her basketball and when she was unable to attend she watched them on television. Rose loved her family and spent as much time as she could supporting them in their many activities. She was a devoted Christian who loved her Lord and her church family. Rose was a member of the First Baptist Church, Roosevelt, Oklahoma. Rose was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

ten grandchildren: Chandra, Andria, Ross, Breanna, Brittany, Aubrey, Reese, Daniel, Kyle, Kelsey.
2 great-grandchildren: Tallyanna, Cayton and Tatum
And numerous relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a husband, Gaylord Anderson, a brother, Gerald Chance and a grandson, Timothy Stangle
