OBITUARY
Rosa Lee McCord, 87, of Anadarko, was born July 15, 1926, to James Henry and Dillie Jennings in Hannah, Oklahoma.
Rosa valued being a homemaker and loved her family very deeply. She loved working jigsaw puzzles, going to “Walmarkâ€, holding her grandbabies and was an avid reader. She especially loved reading all the way through the Holy Bible several times as she continued to grow in faith “searching for a word.†Rosa looked forward to the daily and weekly phone visits from several of her family members. She loved with a big heart.
Her wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed and each of her family members has great stories and memories to share for years to come. Those closest to her were certainly touched by her caring, loving, content and kind spirit. Rosa will be missed and always thought of with great admiration and respect for the person she grew to be. Thank You, God, for our Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Mother-in-Law, Rosa Lee McCord!
Preceding her in death were her parents; five sisters, Jessie Henry, Pearl Jennings, Ina Brookshire, Dorene Alldredge and Betty Conn; three sons, Jimmy, Ronald and Gary McCord; and one daughter, Patsy McClung.
Survivors include three children, Larry Hayes and his wife, Connie of Modesto, California, Sharon Doughty and her husband, Bryan of Anadarko and Robert McCord and his wife, Jill of Gracemont; thirty-four grandchildren and great grandchildren; many special nieces, nephews and friends.
