Ronald Dean Roland, 68, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2019 at Elkview General Hospital, Hobart, OK. Ronald was born August 5, 1951 in Carnegie, OK to J.D. and Vivian Roland.
Ronald attended Carnegie Public School graduating with the Class of 1969, and Murray State College, and Central State College.
He is survived by one daughter, Audrey Ranney and husband Eric, Piedmont, OK; sister Sue Roland, Henderson, NV, and brother, Bobby Roland and wife, Donna, Carnegie, OK. He had two grandchildren, Matthew and Lauren and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.D and Vivian Roland.
Ron was saved in 1966 at the Ft. Cobb First Baptist Church. Jim White was the pastor at his conversion. His favorite scripture was Colossians 3:1-17. He tried to live his life according to the Word given in these verses. He was a member for many years in the Baptist Church in Rowlett, TX and after he moved home, he attended the Carnegie First Baptist Church regularly. He ate lunch daily at the Carnegie Senior Citizens Center.
Ron was loyal to his church, family, friends, co-workers, classmates, and his beloved sports teams, OU Sooners, Texas Rangers, the Thunder. He was an avid supporter of the Carnegie Wildcats (once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat). If you saw Ron, he was usually wearing a tee shirt that represented one of his favorite sports teams. He loved '70's music and anything Elvis.
Services for Ron will be held at a later date.
