Roena May Holland was born January 4, 1928 in Hobart, Oklahoma to Everett and Eula (Pritchard) Merrick. She grew up in Hobart and was a 1946 graduate of Hobart High School. She worked at the Kiowa News Stand till it closed. She then worked for Ethel Pate Insurance until April 1957, when she married Charles Holland a widower with 3 children. To this union was born a daughter in 1963. Roena was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was very gifted in the art of cooking, sewing, needlework and crochet. She was also a gifted artist and drew many paper dolls with clothes for her daughters. Roena drove a school bus for many years for the Hobart Public Schools before retiring. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hobart.
Roena is proceeded in death by her parents, brothers Reese, Enos and Ray Merrick, her husband Charles and her sons Gary and Eddie Holland.

Christina Holland, Mandy Holland, Angie Schmidt and husband Scott, Carmen McCorkle and husband Tommy, Sara Thompson and husband Chris.
