Roberta Queton Strange, 94, of Round Rock, Texas, peacefully passed away on January 14, 2025. She was born on August 23, 1930, to John and Aline Queton in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Roberta spent her childhood working alongside her father in the fields, developing a strong work ethic that defined much of her life. After living in Fort Worth, Texas, for many years, she returned to Oklahoma, where she raised her two children, Destiny and Dillion.
Roberta enjoyed driving through Anadarko, visiting friends, and always found joy in browsing flea markets. Known for her generous heart, she welcomed many into her home and offered help to anyone in need. A woman of deep love, strength, independence, and a remarkable sense of humor, Roberta was also immensely proud of her Kiowa heritage and her connection to the Kiowa tribe. Her love for her family and her ability to touch the lives of those around her will be remembered fondly.
Surviving family members include:
Children: Destiny Jarrett (Hutto, TX), Kyle Strange (Anadarko, OK), Patricia Strange (Anadarko, OK), Samuel Strange (Fort Worth, TX), and Robert Strange (Anadarko, OK)
Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Aline Queton; her children, an infant daughter and David Strange; and her siblings: Virgil Queton, Julian Whorton, Spencer Queton, Malcolm Queton, Melvin Queton, Floyd Queton, Esther Jones, Cecelia Lorentz, Marjorie Tahbone, Hattie Crossman, and Juanita Bigbow.
