Roberta Colleene (Bobbie) Jarnigan Gibson, 86, of Oklahoma City passed away Sunday, December 7th, 2014. She was born May 7th, 1928 in Sand Springs, OK, to Robert (Bob) Jarnigan and Opal Godfrey Jarnigan. As a baby, the family moved to Washita County near Colony. She started school at Red Top, a one room schoolhouse with eight grades. Her family moved to Carnegie in 1939, and she completed there in 1945. She attended Oklahoma College for Women in 1945 and 1946. In 1951 she moved to California living there 42 years. In 1990 she moved to Oklahoma and married her high school sweetheart, Hoot Gibson. Bobbie was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church, Oklahoma City, OK. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for 35 years, while living in California. There she worked with the Eagle Lodge and helped raise money for several charities. Her favorites were City of Hope and Guide Dogs for the blind. Bobbie was also a charter member of the Red Hat Society of Oklahoma and the "Cherry Tarts".

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Hoot Gibson, two sons, Robert and Jack, brother, Royce Dean Jarnigan, and sister, Wanda Gibson.
Funeral Services: 1:00p.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Brookwood Baptist Church, Oklahoma City, OK
Graveside Service: 4:00p.m., Wednesday December 10, 2014 at Carnegie Cemetery, Carnegie, OK
Officiating will be Rev. Brian Gilbert
under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Carnegie, OK
Family will greet relatives and friends, Tuesday from 6-7p.m., at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Carnegie
