Robert Browning Heiney, 98, of Hobart, OK, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, in Elkview General Hospital. He was born September 24, 1915, in Hobart to Robert Henry and Mary (Burkes) Heiney. Robert was a life long resident of Hobart and a member of the First Christian Church. He married Avis Wright
on August 25, 1936, in Roosevelt, OK and she preceded him in death on June 15, 1998. Robert served with the U. S. Navy during WWII, worked the United States Postal Service for 27 years and owned and operated Heiney Real Estate for 25 years.
Survivors include one son, Bobby Heiney, Hobart, OK
two daughters: Charlene McArthur and husband Don, Waco, TX
Lois McCray and husband Sam, Enid, OK
four grandchildren: Misty McArthur Homlieas, Cindy McArthur Dickson, Marc McCray and Chad McCray
three great-grandchildren, Jake Dickson, Aubrie Dickson and Aliena McCray
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Avis, grandson, Chad and two sisters, Lois Heiney and Mary Harrell
