Robert (Benny) Hatfield

Robert "Ben/Benny" Benjamin Hatfield was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on December 17, 1954 to Robert Jacob Hatfield, Sr. & Helen Marie Poolaw Hatfield, where they were stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base. He passed from this life on September 24, 2016, in his residence, with family by his side. He was preceeded in death by his maternal grandparents: Joseph & Anna Poolaw, his paternal grandparents: Ben & Lillie A. Hatfield, his father: Robert Jacob Hatfield, Sr., one sister Dinah "Tootie" Chasenah, & one son in law Lamuel Steven Ramon. He married his high school sweetheart, Beverly, December 10, 1970 at JJ Methvin United Methodist Church, Anadarko Oklahoma.

Ben is survived by his wife of 46 years, Beverly A. Bowman Hatfield. From this union are daughters: Robin Rachelle & husband Tom Burchfield of Tulsa Oklahoma, Mari Shannon Dawn Fabela & husband Armando of Muskogee Oklahoma, Susan Michelle Hatfield-Haunpo & husband Geoffrey and honorary son, Jesse Jones & wife Sara, all of Anadarko, Oklahoma. His brothers: Robert Jacob Hatfield, Jr & wife Kathy of Anadarko, Joseph Daniel Hatfield & wife C Marie of Edmond, Oklahoma, Robert Jacob Hatfield III and John Hatfield, both of Middlesboro, Kentucky. His sisters: Sandra Poolaw of Anadarko, Patti Huntinghorse & husband Tony of Carnegie, Oklahoma and honorary sister, Linda (Chippy) Forrester & husband Ken of Norman, Oklahoma.

His grandchildren Pride: Evan Gabrielle Burchfield, Joy: Lillian A. Fabela, New Era: Megan Haunpo, Happiness: Amaya Reese Fabela, Hope: Liam Benjamin Fabela, Grace: Gracie Lynelle Haunpo, Buddy: Zackery Ty Haunpo, Jessica Poafpybitty, Grasshopper: Julius Jones, Zachary Jones, Justine Jones, Hunter Jones, Halynn (Sophie) Jones, and one furbaby, Feliz the Chihuahua. His children, grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews brought him much Joy.

Ben lived to serve God, his country, through the United States Marine Corp, and others, especially Indian country. He was an exceptional family man exuding unconditional love like no other. He was an avid Sooners fan, Music lover (known as BenJamin'), Road Cruiser, Roller Coaster fanatic, award-winning Swimmer, and much more. He enjoyed hands-on life application on a daily basis. He lived a life dedicated to service never seeking self-recognition and by example promoted a team ethic. He will be greatly missed. Semper Fi.

Services for Ben will be Thursday, Sep 29, 2016, 10:00 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Anadarko, OK.

Interment will follow at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, OK at 1:00 pm.

Visitation Tuesday Sept 27, from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday Sept 28 from Noon - 8:00 p.m.
