Robert Warner Black

October 15, 1957 — March 6, 2019

Robert Warner Black, long time Anadarko resident, was born on October 15, 1957 to Leslie and Mary Lou (Wingo) Black in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. He passed away on March 6, 2019 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Robby leaves behind a legacy of caring, whether for family or friends, he always looked to give kindness to all. He proudly graduated in 1977 from Eisenhower High School in Lawton, Oklahoma. He married Mary Whitlow in 1991 and they enjoyed many years of married bliss until her passing in 2012.
Robby enjoyed movies and television, especially scary movies and old sitcoms like LaughIn. He collected old westerns and was especially fond of John Wayne. He also enjoyed attending concerts, making sure to get a t-shirt from every show.
Robby was an employee of APEX, and enjoyed going to work. He was a member of Oklahoma People First, Inc. Anadarko Chapter and had been a member since 1995. He will also be remembered for enjoying the times spent at Fort Cobb Lake on his family property.

Robby Black never met a stranger, and he always strived to be kind to all he met. His kindness and goodwill will be missed by all who knew him.

Melissa Sue Breer of Duncan, Oklahoma
Nephews: Wesley Brock and wife Brenda of Lawton, Oklahoma
Kory Brock and wife Shanna of Duncan, Oklahoma
Jared Cleland and wife Jamie of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
Justin Cleland and wife Jacqui of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Mary Lou Black, his wife, Mary Sue Black, sister, Debra Cleland and brother-in-law, Robert Bruce Brock.

Visitation will be Friday, March 8, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home in Anadarko, Oklahoma with family receiving friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Graveside Service: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2019
