June 4, 2018, Rita Edingfield Evans passed in Carnegie, Oklahoma at the age of 73. Born in Carnegie on November 1, 1944 to Claude and Thelma Edingfield. Being a part of the Edingfield clan had a large impact on her life. Her passion for singing defined her high school years. Joined in marriage to Gale Evans on January 5, 1962. She became a mother to Cary Edward in 1963 and Anita Gaye in 1967. Rita enjoyed dragging Main Street and mischief in her young adult days. She championed for the youth in Carnegie as a mother and was a force to be reckoned with for Girls Softball in Carnegie.
Together Rita and Gale owned Mac's Quick Mart in Apache, Oklahoma for 18 years.
Rita is survived by her husband Gale, her son Cary Evans of Oklahoma City, his daughter Katy Dorrell of Watertown, New York, and daughter, Anita Micek, her husband Daniel Micek and their daughter Megli Micek of Las Vegas, Nevada. Her brothers Jacob Edingfield of Edmond, Oklahoma and Donald Edingfield of Wichita, Kansas, numerous sister in laws, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Eldon Edingfield, Houston (PK) Pease, Alvin (Tater) Pease, Kenneth (Buzzy) Edingfield, Ronald (Spec) Edingfield, and Jack Edingfield.
Rita was an avid reader of all things, loved watching television and playing card games.
