Richard Spottedhorse

Richard Kent Spottedhorse, 65, passed away unexpectedly on May 27, 2024, in Mountain View, Oklahoma. He was born on June 19, 1958, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Cornelius Spottedhorse and Marilyn Mae Spottedhorse. He graduated from Mountain View High School in 1976. After graduating he attended college at Cameron University. Richard was a huge sports fan. He loved the OU Sooners and the Dallas Cowboys. Richard was a proud member of the Kiowa Tribe, and he worked as a security officer for the tribe. In his spare time he enjoyed doing threadwork, beadwork, and featherwork. He loved spending time with family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Nephews: Adam Spottedhorse, Mark Zachary Bearden, Ryan Cost, Nathaniel Bearbow, Jonathan Bearbow, Leneil Spottedhorse Jr., David Spottedhorse, Stephen Spottedhorse, and Caleb Dennis
Grandchildren: Jahlil Love, Alexis Littlecalf, and Xzavien Spottedhorse.


He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Donna Spottedhorse and Lana Spottedhorse; brothers, Myles Spottedhorse and Glen Spottedhorse; nephew, Jason Spottedhorse; niece, Jillian Randolph.
