Richard Shriner Iii

Richard Floyd Shriner III died on March 14,2024 in his Colorado home. He was born November 13,1947 in Hobart, Oklahoma. Rick was the first born son of Richard Floyd Shriner Jr. M.D. and Jimmie Nelle Peters.
Dickie graduated from Hobart High School, class of 1965. He participated in football and ran track. Following graduation, he attended both the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University where he was a golfer. Rick continued to love playing golf and participated in numerous charity tournaments.
Rick worked for the state of Colorado as a Behavioral Therapist retiring in 2019. He was fondly remembered by many of his former clients. Robert Johnson, a Co worker said Rick was an inspiration to many over the years.

Rick was predeceased by his father and his sister Jacquelyn Shriner Galgano.

He is survived by his mother, Jimmie N Patee ; brother James Scott Shriner; and sister Deanna Shriner Cushing. In addition to his wife Sandra Thomas Shriner, Richard leaves 3 children ~ 4 grandchildren ~ and 1 great grandson; Tristen Scott Lee; Amy McBride and husband Leon ~ grandson Dylan McBride and great grandson Beckham; Damon Scott Shriner and his wife Kristy ~ granddaughters Charity ~ Saralyn ~ and Destiny Shriner.


A celebration of life will be held on April 26, 2024 at 2 pm at Ray and Martha's funeral home in Hobart, Oklahoma.
