Richard Benjamin Ives CMSGT, USAF (RET), 74, of Lone Wolf, OK, passed away on Monday, November 22nd, 2010 in Hobart, OK. On February 19, 1936, he was born to Wilbur F. and Mary Helen Ives in Oberlin, Ohio where he and his brothers worked in his father's roofing company. He joined the U. S. Air Force in 1956 and he retired as a Chief Master Sergeant in 1976. During his enlistment, he served in the Vietnam War as well as at the Pentagon. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for the Office of Special Investigation and for the Defense Intelligence Agency at Bowling Air Force Base in Washington, D.C. While serving his country, Richard was active in the softball league in the Fairfax Police Youth Club, Fairfax, VA for over 25 years. He moved to the Lone Wolf/Hobart area in 1997 where he was active in the community, and he worked with Brian Wilmeth and other volunteers in developing and maintaining the Braun softball field for the community.

Betty Ann Wilbur and husband Frank, Wellington, OH
one brother, Edward Ives and wife Effie, Wellington, OH
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: his twin brother Robert on 11-12-2010,
John and Lester, and two sisters: Mary Jane Cornell and Evelyn.
