Rex Kendall Scrudder, 52, of Mountain View, Oklahoma was born on October 12, 1968 to Max and Ann (Borden) Scrudder in Hobart, Oklahoma. Rex passed away at his home on Monday, June 14, 2021 with his wife of 31-years and their four children right by his side.
Rex graduated from Carnegie High School with the Class of 1986, then went on to graduate from WOSC with an associates degree in Applied Science in 2005. Rex was a volunteer firefighter before becoming a full-time firefighter for the Lawton Fire Department in 2000. He retired as a captain in 2019. When Rex was not on duty at the fire station, he enjoyed working, hunting, fishing, riding, motorcycles, traveling, blacksmithing, and spending time with friends and family.
Rex is preceded in death by his parents, Max and Ann Scrudder; grandparents, Vernon and Leota Borden, Norris and Marie Scrudder.
Rex is survived by his wife, Lisa of the home; two sons, Andrew Scrudder and Elizabeth Foster of Noble, Oklahoma, Alex Scrudder and his wife, Samantha of Weatherford, Oklahoma; two daughters, Alisia Rogers and her husband, Philip of Abilene, Texas, Annisa McAbee and her husband, Kent of Custer City, Oklahoma; brother, Randy Scrudder and his wife, Judy along with their children of Rowlett, Texas; grandchildren, Cadince, Hayden, Julia, Matthew, Joshua, Buck, William, Amelia, and Grandbaby #9 expected in August; host of relatives and friends.
