Phyllis Hunter

Phyllis Rae Hunter passed away March 7, 2025 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She was born on December 16, 1948 to Phil Ragen Bohay and Naomi Kaudle Kaule Paddlety, in Lawton, Oklahoma. She grew up and attended school in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. She graduated high school in 1967. Phyllis married Roger Wayne Tenequer, and to this union were born 4 children. Later on she married Richard Hunter, Sr., and to this union were born 3 children. Phyllis worked as an accounting technician at the BIA, for 44 years until her retirement in October 2024. She was a proud member of the Apache Tribe. Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Phyllis watching her grandsons play football and basketball. She was OKC Thunders #1 Fan. She Loved the Era of Durant & Westbrook 2008-2016! She loved when her grandson Rudy Starr III and Granddaughter Deanna Starr Got Tickets! She actually talked about all the OKC Thunder Players, like they were best buddies! She would get mad if you didn't know the players she was talking about. Phyllis also loved the casinos! She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
