Philip Holley

Dr. Philip David Holley, 69, Hobart, Oklahoma, passed away February 14, 2017. Philip was born on September 3, 1947 to Ellis Howard & Mary Ellen (Boshell) Holley in Stevenson, Alabama. Philip grew up and attended school in Parrish, Alabama. He was a member of the Parrish Church of Christ. After graduating high school, he attended Lipscomb University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree. Philip went on to Memphis University where he completed his Master's Degree and then went to Iowa State University to complete his Doctorate's Degree. Dr. Holley, was a professor at Southwestern Oklahoma State University for 38 years where he was Chair of the Department and taught Criminal Justice and Sociology. In 2003 Philip and his wife, Kristen moved from Yukon, Oklahoma to Hobart, Oklahoma.

Carleigh Holley of Nashville, TN,
Lindsey Appling and husband Johnathan of Parrish, AL,
Cavan Holley and wife Macy of Florence, AL
Caleb Kitchens and fiance Sara Killgore of Parrish, AL,
Mother and father-in-laws: Keith and Dianna Lunsford of Hobart, OK,
1 great niece and 2 great nephews
Preceded in death by: his parents, Ellis Howard and Mary Ellen Holley
