Peggy Tate Harris, 85, passed away Monday, April 22nd, 2013 at Elkview General Hospital in Hobart, Oklahoma. Peggy was born in Hobart, OK on May 18, 1927, to Grace (Denison) and Earl Tate. Peggy lived all of her life in Hobart except for two years with her family in Alaska, and six months in North Carolina. Mom loved to dance with her beloved husband Adron of 63 years. Peggy was a homemaker and former art teacher. Peggy loved to travel to new places and to try different types of food. She received a Bachelor of Education degree at Southwestern State College in Weatherford, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the University of Oklahoma. Peggy was an avid OU and Hobart bearcat fan and loved the game of football. She was a life long member of the First United Methodist Church and sang in the choir for many years.
She is survived by her husband Adron Harris

Earl and Vanessa Harris, Anchorage, AK
one daughter: Jan and David Gimlin, of Hobart, OK
five grandchildren: Lauren, Evan, Darrin, Dylan, and John
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Betty Carrington.

Burial will follow at the Hobart Rose Cemetery, Hobart, OK under the direction of Ray and Martha's Funeral Home of Hobart.
The family will be greeting friends at the funeral home 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2013.
