Paula Gene Sokolosky

Paula Gene (Rutledge) Sokolosky, 80, of Fort Cobb, was born December 31, 1934, to Ralph and Elnora (Houser) Rutledge in Yukon. She passed from this life on Thursday, July 23, 2015, in Anadarko.
Paula was raised and attended school in Yukon. On September 1, 1950, she married George Patrick "Buck" Sokolosky in Columbia, South Carolina. They lived in Yukon until moving to Fort Cobb in 1966.
Paula was a wonderful cook, an avid reader and pet lover. She was the financial secretary for Fort Cobb School for well over 30 years. "Nonnie" was, above all, devoted to her family. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her father and mother-in-law, George and Josephine Sokolosky.
Survivors include her husband, Buck of the home; three children, Nona White and her husband, Terry, Kim Sokolosky and his wife, Donna, all of Fort Cobb and Brian Sokolosky and his wife, Jan of Mineola, Texas; six grandchildren, Andrea Atkinson and her husband, Brendon, Allison Farmer and her husband, D. Bob, Drew Sokolosky and his wife, Jamie, Katy Sokolosky, Jessie Sokolosky and Kelly Sokolosky; great grandchildren, Emma and Gracie Farmer, Ben, Owen and Ella Atkinson and Jake and Willow Sokolosky; her sister, Sue Stone and her husband, David; other loving family members and friends.
There are no words to describe how much she was loved or how very much she will be missed.
A graveside service was held at 10 A.M., Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at the Oakgrove Cemetery in Fort Cobb under the direction of the Steverson Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.steversonfuneralhome.com .
