Paul James Mahoney, 75, of Hobart, OK passed away Thursday, July 28th, 2011 in Hobart, OK. He was born March 13th, 1936 to John and Gertrude (Boadway) Mahoney in Snyder, OK. Paul met and married Joy Adkins July 3, 1954 in Carmen, OK. Paul worked for Boeing in the mid 1950's in Wichita, KS. He later returned to Hobart where he worked with his father in the carpenter business. Paul also worked at the Post Office and did commercial construction with Chapman Construction. He was employed at Hobart Schools from 1988 to 2000, as the Transportation Superintendent and also as Construction Superintendent for the new Hobart Elementary School. Paul loved singing gospel music. He sang with the group Gospelaires for a number of years and also sang with quartets at his church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Gertrude Mahoney, three brothers, John Mahoney, Jr., Bill Mahoney, Dan Mahoney, and one infant son.
Funeral Services: 10:00a.m., Monday, August 1, 2011 at the First Baptist Church, Hobart, OK
Burial will follow at the Hobart Rose Cemetery, Hobart, OK
