August 19, 1924 — August 16, 2011

Patricia Victoria (Carey) Mann died August 16th, 2011 at Lawton, Comanche County, OK. She requested no services to be held.
Pat was born August 19th, 1924 in San Francisco, CA, the second and youngest child of William Bill Francis Carey born in Colorado and Victoria Alexandria (Stokoe) Carey born in Newcastle on the tames, England. She was raised in the Catholic Church. Pat married Jack Monroe Mann December 3, 1943 in San Francisco, CA and began her thirty year career as a Navy wife. She traveled all over the world making a home for her family. Her time in the Philippines was especially memorable for her.
At Jack's retirement from the Navy, Pat and her husband lived for many years in Torrance, CA then moved to Oxnard, CA. After her husband's death in 1981, she made her home for the remainder of her life with or near her oldest son and his wife, Gerald Monroe and Linda Ferol (Hoover) Mann in Thousand Oaks, CA, then Grass Valley, CA before moving to Carnegie, Caddo County, OK.
Pat enjoyed writing poems, stories and song lyrics. She enjoyed ball games, playing cards and board games, watching TV, and walking. Great-grandma Pat loved watching cartoons and eating "junk" food with Rachel and Kaitlyn.
Patricia is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald "Jerry" Monroe and Linda Ferol (Hoover) Mann (Carnegie, OK) and Jack Monroe and Elizabeth "Libby" Ann (Frey) Mann, Jr. (Endicott, NY); six grandchildren, Gerald Monroe Mann, Jr. (Sacramento, CA) and Amanda Ferol (Mann) Jones James (Clinton, OK); Abigail Elizabeth Mann, Nancy Caroline (Mann) Cussella, Jack Monroe III, and Sarah Christine Mann (all of Endicott, NY); two great-grandchildren, Rachel Victoria and Kaitlyn Veronica Jones (Clinton, OK); and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband, and brother, William (Bill) Carey, Jr., preceded her in death.
At her request, crematory remains will be scattered at sea in the Pacific Ocean where her husband's remains were consigned.
