Patricia Ruth Tsonetokoy-Bointy " Patty Girl", 83, passed away peacefully at her home in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, surrounded by her husband and family. June 15th, 1941, she was born in Carnegie, Oklahoma, to Fred "Buster" and Grace Tahlo-Lonebear Tsonetokoy. When she was a young girl, her mother's sister Jeanette and her husband Conrad Maunsape asked to raise her. She grew up in the church as her uncle Conrad was the head Methodist Minister in this Region. March 28, 1957, she married the love of her life, Warner Bointy Jr., in Anadarko, Oklahoma. In 1959, she and Warner were participants of the Government Relocation Program. Their first placement was in Denver, Colorado, for Warner to go to Radio Repair School. They took their first daughter, Stephanie La Jean with them. They were there for about a year then came back home. While at home she gave birth to their second daughter, Aurora Mae. In 1962, they got another placement to Los Angels, California, where they made their home for almost 30 years before returning home to Oklahoma. During that time they had Cassandra Amber and Conrad Lee. While also helping raise several nieces and nephews. She was incredibly blessed to be a stay at home wife/mom. Being the eldest daughter of Grace. She became a master bead worker. She dressed her kids and grandkids in the nicest regalia around. Beading since she was a young girl till the week before her passing there is so much of her work out there worldwide, that it would be impossible to recall/count. She was constantly donating her work to organizations, family, and friends. Her bead work has been featured in national magazines, museums and art shows. Many people sought her out to do their regalia. In all that time she taught her daughters, grandkids, and great grandkids to keep the legacy alive. She traveled the nation pow-wowing, contesting and supporting her family and friends. Pow-wows and casino's were life and if a pow-wow was at a casino, she was in hog heaven. She danced despite having no toes until 2023, when she became wheelchair dependent. But that still didn't stop her from attending pow-wows. She enjoyed her life to the fullest with all her family and friends. She was a member of the Kiowa Warrior Descendents, Kiowa Tia-piah Society, Carnegie Victory Club and an Angel for American War Mothers Kiowa Chapter 18.
