Orbie Dark, 92, long-time Hobart resident, passed away on Wednesday, July 20th, 2011 in Hobart, OK.
He was born April 2, 1919, near Lindsey, OK to William Arthur and Lela (Lawson) Dark. Orbie moved to Kiowa County when he was 10 years old. He married Irene M. McCullough on November 10, 1942 in Hobart and she preceded him in death on September 21, 2009. Orbie was a member of the First Baptist Church and was baptised on Easter Sunday, April 3, 1977 along with his granddaughter, Marcia. He worked for Toma Grocery and Safeway Grocery many years. Orbie owned and operated Dark's Grocery from 1965 to 1980.

three great-grandchildren: Kyla and Shelby Ard, Hobart, OK
Zoe Tufford, Norman, OK
one brother: Lloyd Dark, Ft. Worth, TX
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Irene, 4 brothers, Horace, Lee, Vick and Howard Dark and two sisters Mae Graham and Naomi Geis.
