Olive Blaine Cobbs

Olive B. Cobbs, 85, of Anadarko, was born November 11, 1928, to Robert Thurman and Myrtle Madge (Goodwin) Repp. She passed from this life on Friday, November 29, 2013.
Olive was born and raised on the homestead of her parents north of Fort Cobb. She went to school at Fort Cobb where she loved playing basketball and graduated in 1946. She soon after went to work for Southwestern Bell as an operator. She met and married Jimmie Cobbs September 9, 1949. To this union two daughters were born. Working in the oil industry, Jimmie, Olive and the girls moved to Lindsay, Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisiana and back to Anadarko in 1964. Olive worked for Graham's Jewelry and later sold Merle Norman Cosmetics.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, liked to watch The Lawrence Welk Show and loved OU Football.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Jimmie; three brothers, Robert Repp, Dale Repp and Kenneth Repp; three sisters, Sylvia Gentile, Reta Earnest and Twyla Hodges; and one niece, Jan Gentile.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Cobbs and Peggy McCullough, both of Anadarko; one grandson, Brandon McCullough of Tulsa; two wonderful canine companions, Lilly and Darcy; a sister-in-law, Norma Lee Repp of Fort Cobb; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Viewing for Mrs. Cobbs will be from 9 A.M. to 9 P.M. on Monday. The funeral will be at 10 A.M., Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church in Anadarko. Burial will be at 1 P.M. at the Fort Sill National Cemetery west of Elgin, Oklahoma
