Ojuieta Faye Simmons, 93, passed away on February 3, 2024 in Anadarko, OK. She was born in Mountain View, OK on March 4,1930, to Fred and Velma (Clark) Smith.
Ojuieta attended and graduated from Anadarko Public School in 1947 and was the Valedictorian. She attended and received a Business Degree from Oklahoma Business College for Women. Ojuieta retired from a long career at the Anadarko Daily News, where she served as a type setter. She was very active in her grandchildren's and great grandchildren's activities, it was rare to not find her in the stands rooting for one of the kids. Ojuieta loved watching all sports, she especially loved watching the Houston Astros, Dallas Cowboys and OKC Thunder. Ojuieta loved writing short stories and poems and she always enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and cryptograms. She loved hosting family get together and cooking her famous pot roast and peach cobbler.
Ojuieta attended the Virginia Avenue Baptist Church in Anadarko, OK. She was a Sunday School Teacher for 25 years. Ojuieta loved her Lord, she celebrated and spread his work for a lifetime of faithful service.
She was preceded in death by her: husband, W.H. (Buddy) Simmons; parents, Fred & Velma Smith; brother, Donald Smith; sister-in-law, Rita Smith
