Odette E. Holder, 50, of Binger, was born January 4, 1965, to Novalene Swift at the Indian Hospital in Lawton. She passed from this life on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at her home near Binger.
Odette grew up in Gracemont and attended school in Gracemont and Concho Indian School. She was a member of the Wichita and affiliated tribes. Odette worked for the Caddo Headstart Program until resigning due to failing health.
She enjoyed going to casinos, riding around and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. Odette also enjoyed attending church, revivals, gospel singings as well as garage sales.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Eunice Swift; mother, Novalene Swift; one brother, Anthony John Holder; one grandchild, Karla Holder; two aunts, LaVera Swift Reeder and Armalene Swift Horsechief.
Survivors include three children, Kolette Holder and Lupe, Amanda Holder Enrique and Vincente, both of Binger, and Barney Holder and Tajia of Lawton; five grandchildren, Anthony Reyes Jr., Kaitlyn Holder, Pricilla Holder, Barry Holder and Jacinda Holder; three sisters, Kathy Swift Holder, Cindy Holder and Pamela Holder both of Anadarko; 7 nephews, Sheldon Holder, Johnny Lee Trevino, Clyde Littlecalf Jr., Robert Paul Holder, Fabion John Holder, Derek John Holder, Mark Antonio Holder; one niece, Julie Littlecalf; one uncle, Franklin Dale Swift; and one adopted nephew, Ricky Aderholt.
Casket bearers will be Barney Holder, Vincente Chong, Santiago Morales, Derek Holder, Ricky Aderholt, Johnny Lee Trevino, Mark Antonio Holder, Clyde Littlecalf, Jr., Robert Holder, Fabian Holder and Sheldon T. Holder. Honorary casket bearers will be Johnny Trevino, Jesse Gomez, Michael Telfer, Lupe Ramos and Tony Mejia. Officiating the services will be Kathy Pewenofkit.
