Octavia Mae (Harrell) Stephens-Johnson, 107, a beloved Grandmother and Great Grandmother entered our Lord's Kingdom on September 7th, 2022, into the welcoming arms of Family and Friends that preceded her.
Octavia began this life's journey born to Claude and Iva Harrell on October 9th, 1914, in Hobart, Oklahoma on a working farm. She was delivered at home with the help of her grandmother. Octavia grew up on the farm with four siblings, one brother and three sisters. She attended school in Hobart, Oklahoma.
In 1930, Octavia attended a dance where she met Henry Eugene Stephens (Gene), whom she later married on January 14, 1931. From this union the couple were blessed with two sons, Harold, and Louis. The couple lived in Hobart, raising the boys as Octavia worked outside the home balancing life as a homemaker as well.
Octavia was the rock and well as the glue that binds our family together. She loved her Lord and kept her faith all her life, instilling the values in all her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
