Norman Wayne Pound

Wayne Pound, 79, of Carnegie, OK passed away June 3rd, 2012. He was born February 23rd, 1933 to Ernest and Pearline ( Willis ) Pound in Verden, OK. Wayne attended and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1953. He lived in Anadarko for a number of years and owned a service station. He moved to Carnegie in 1994. He married Carolyn Belase Cole, July 7, 1994 in Eureka Springs, AR. Wayne loved horses. He trained many throughout the years. He was also a mechanic and liked to build things. Wayne was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carnegie, OK.

one son, Robert Dale Pound and wife, Elina, Anadarko, OK
four daughters, Jeanetta Raines and husband, Dean, Anadarko, OK
Tonya Carter and husband, Ben, Flowermound, TX
Bobbie Pearson, Hoopston, IL
Virginia Garcia and husband, Art, Hockley, TX
one brother, Alvin Ray, Glenwoods Springs, CO
sister-in-law, Joyce Pound, Fort Cobb, OK
sixteen grandchildren
several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Charles Pound

Funeral Services: 10:00a.m., Tuesday, June 5th, 2012 at the First Untied Methodist Church, Carnegie, OK
Burial will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko, OK
under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Carnegie
