Norman Scott Bennet, 82, of Hobart, Oklahoma, passed away at Elkview General Hospital, after a brief illness.
He was born on July 9, 1938, in Watertown, Massachusetts to Beatrice Acion Bennet and Ernest Bennet. Beatrice remarried to an Alfred Colarullo when Norman was 3. Norman had two brothers, Ernest Bennet, Jr., Kenneth Bennet, and one step brother Johnny Colarullo.
Norman moved to Hobart in 2013 and began his legacy here. He was known for his ability to salvage old buildings for the lumber. He has salvaged many buildings and barns in the Hobart area. He was a carpenter by trade, and could be quiet particular about his craft. He would have no less than 2 projects going at the same time, so that if he got frustrated with one he could go on to something else. If you gave Norman the chance, he would tell all about himself.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, stepfather and his brothers.
Norman is survived by his dog Crystal and a host of friends.
