Norma Verdis Riley

Verdis Riley, 96, of Cooperton, OK, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2010, in Altus, OK. She was born September 10, 1913 in Cooperton to James and Ida (Tharp) Miller. She lived in Cooperton most of her life. She was the last member who attended the Cooperton Christian Church. Verdis married Jewell Riley in May of 1932 and he preceded her in death in 1969.

Surivors include three sons:
James Riley and wife Alice Faye, Durant, OK
Donnie Riley and wife, Elizabeth, Sweetwater, OK
Lonnie Riley and wife Tommie, Cooperton, OK
One daughter:
Lena Faye Campbell and husband Jerry, Woodbridge, VA
10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two children, Larry Riley and Jayne Riley and a sister, Ruby Blackburn.
