Nora Lee Casey

Nora Lee Casey went to be with the Lord on June 14, 2023 at the age of 92 years. She was the youngest of eight children and was born in Sentinel, Oklahoma on March 31, 1931 to Alfred Thomas and Clara Lee Walker who lived near Retrop, Oklahoma.
After graduating from Port High School in 1949, Nora attended Southwestern State Teacher's College where she met and married Wallace Lowell Hawkins in May of 1950. Together they had five sons: Seth, Toby, Todd, Tim, and Terry. Nora became a young widow in 1965 while living in Kansas City, Kansas and moved her family to Weatherford, Oklahoma in 1967.
Nora taught school for 36 years in Kansas and Oklahoma and retired in 1992. In 1998 she married Oran Casey (Bully) and moved to Mountain View, Oklahoma. She lost her son, Todd, in 2001 and Bully passed away in 2011.
In 2015 Nora moved to Weatherford, Oklahoma where three of her sons live. Her family would like to thank the management and staff of Homestead of Weatherford and Corn Heritage Village of Weatherford for their love and care in her later years.
Nora will be greatly missed by her friends and family which include 22 grandchildren and 36 great grand children. She will be remembered for her love of the Lord, her love for her family, and her fondness for coffee and rooster decorations.
