Nina Rose Hopson, 91, of Hobart Oklahoma passed away peacefully on December 15, 2020. She was born on February 4, 1929 in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma to Lester and Merle Hunn. Nina grew up and attended school in Hobart, at the age of 13 she started a long career in food service, beginning at the Pioneer Bakery. Her next job was at the Sundown Cafe owned and operated by Nathaniel Clark Hopson ( Hoppy), who later became her father-in-law. She followed Hoppy to the Rock Island Cafe where she met her future husband Elton Clark ( Pete) Hopson. The two were wed on October 13, 1947. They made their home in Hereford, Texas and worked at various restaurants with their last stop at a new franchise called Lot-A-Burger. After a short stint the couple moved back to Hobart and opened the Big-A-Burger on March 15,1954. They operated the Big until their retirement in 1978. The couple enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling until the time of Pete's death in 2002. Nina enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In 2008 Nina married Barton Baker and they continued to enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends. Nina love life and lived it to the fullest without any regrets.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Lester and Merle Hunn, Husbands; Pete Hopson and Barton Baker, 2 Brothers; Millard Hunn and B.F. Hunn, 1 Sister; Goldie Crawford, Daughter-in-law; Joyce Hopson
