Nicholas "Nicky" John Horsechief passed away peacefully in Marlow, Oklahoma August 8th, 2020. He was born April 27th, 1962 to Geraldine Haumpo Paukie but was raised by his grandparents Noah and Viola Horsechief at a young age. His Indian name is "Curly Chief" which is a Pawnee name given to him by his grandfather Noah.
At a young age he danced at mini powwow's, later he played bass guitar as his adopted parents traveled and preached in different states. He enjoyed listening to music, and calling his brothers on a daily basis, he liked visiting with friends and family. He was a loving and a kind person. Nicky grew up in Denver, Colorado, in 1986 he moved to Anadarko, Oklahoma. At the time of his death he lived in Marlow Oklahoma.
Nicky will be deeply missed..
He preceded in death by his mom Geraldine, his adopted parents Noah and Viola, and a brother Richard Horsechief.
Survivors include his brother Vincent (Valerie) Horsechief and Steven Horsechief. Nephew's Joseph (Laura), Micah and Ivory Horsechief. Niece's Stephanie, Kimberly, Mervina and Raven Horsechief plus 12 grandchildren.
Interment: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 15, 2020
