Neva Tittle was born on August 10, 1934 to Clessie and Rena (Cunningham) Tittle at Rocky, Oklahoma. Neva left this world on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 86 years old in Cordell, Oklahoma. Neva was two days older than her twin, Eva, and enjoyed this distinction. The two were always together, often with Neva being adventurous and leading the way into some new experience for the two to enjoy. Eva was always happy to join in the fun, and the two created a lifetime of shared memories.
During her young years, Neva worked alongside Eva as they helped their parents with the chores of farm life. She worked pulling cotton, making soap, and canning food to last through the winters. Neva always enjoyed comparing the weight of the cotton sack she pulled with that of others. Her competitive spirit shined through.
Neva joined the Church of the Firstborn in Rocky and found her faith in Jesus to sustain her during trying times of life. Neva completed high school at Rocky, Oklahoma and was always proud to be a Rocky Buffalo.
Neva spent the majority of her adult years working at the Farmer's CO-OP in Rocky. Many of those years were spent with her brother, Dearl, working with her in the same office. When Neva retired from the CO-OP, she took a job working as a teller at the Bank of Cordell with Eva. Neva loved her family and the friends she made in life. That love followed her through both her work and her life at home.
Neva never wanted to be idle. She and Eva enjoyed working in their yard until their health prevented them from doing so. Even when her health failed, Neva wanted her yard full of life and color and was so happy when others noticed the care the yard received. Neva and Eva found they enjoyed travel, as long as that travel did not require that they get on a boat. They enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Jamaica, and many interesting places in the US.
Through the years, Neva had many hobbies, and she wouldn't do anything unless she could do it with excellence. Neva began creating her own bows for gifts, and her wrapping was so precise, it almost seemed a crime to rip open one of her packages. A favorite hobby was shopping. Neva enjoyed time out with friends and found special delight in trips to OKC for shopping with her niece, Kim. She doted on Kim's children and became one of "the Grandmas" to those children and others.
Neva is preceded in death by her parents, Clessie and Rena Tittle, two sisters, Eva Tittle and Joy Gray, and one brother Dearl Tittle. She leaves behind to mourn her passing a host of friends and nieces and nephews.
