Netti Ty Ainna Cozad-Silva

July 14, 1964 — December 21, 2020

Netti Ty-ainna Cozad Silva, 56, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2020, due to complications from Covid-19.

Ty, as she was known to everyone, was born on July 14, 1964, at St. Anthony Hospital to Leonard Cozad, Jr. and Ruby Mae Guy Cozad. She attended schools in Oklahoma City and graduated from Northwest Classen High School in 1982. She was a long-time state employee and worked as a Data Entry Specialist for the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.

Ty's greatest joys in life were her grandbabies, Cali Jaylen, Malachi James, and Rosie Marie. Ty loved the weekends because they included adventures with Elaina, her daughter, and Rosie; their favorite places were Kohl's, Walmart, and Dollar Tree! One of her hobbies was couponing, and she was the Master at couponing. Elaina has yet to buy one package of diapers because Ty kept Rosie in diapers with coupons she collected. Another hobby she enjoyed was scrapbooking. Elaina has books her momma made for her with pictures from birth to adulthood.

Ty is preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Mae; her grandfathers, Albert "Eco" Guy and Leonard Cozad Sr.; grandmothers, Netti Goomda Guy and Eva Ahhaitty Cozad.

Survivors include her: father, Leonard Cozad, Jr.; daughter Elaina Cozad-Torres and husband Juan; son Ryan Roanhorse Silva; grandchildren Cali Marie Cozad Kernell, Malachi James Kernell, and Rosie Marie Cozad-Esquivel. She is also survived by brother Guy Dupree Cozad; niece Raychel Reahann Cozad; great niece Audrina Nicole Cozad; aunt Carla Guy; and best friend since 1st grade, Francine Combs.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Chickasaw Nation Medical Center for all of their efforts and allowing Elaina to spend the last 3 days with her mother; that time was greatly comforting to both of them. We also would like to thank all the relatives and friends who have helped and supported us during this difficult time.
