Nelda met the love of her life Billy leon Lile and they married February 6, 1953. They have three children: Phillip Lile & wife Beverly of Roosevelt, Oklahoma, Lorenda (Lile) Moore & husband Kirk of Hobart, Oklahoma, and Floyd Lile & wife Debra of Aurora, Texas. Six grandchildren: Wes Moore, Shawn Moore, Lori Lile, Kevin Lile, Patrick Lile, and Taylor Lile. Ten great~ grandchildren: Cade, Cole, Callen, and Cory Moore, Kamron, Kyson, Kyli, Kearstyn, Kruz and Kendalynn. And two extended family members; Courtney Robbins and Katie Archer.
Nelda was blessed with four sister-in-laws: Betty, Barbara, Delores, and Linda and their families, a host of nieces and nephews and many small community friends.
Nelda and Billy raised their family in military style as Billy was a career Army veteran who served his country. They were stationed in many different states form Oklahoma, Kansas, Maryland, Germany and then to Texas. Billy retired from the Army in 1978 and made their final home in Roosevelt, Oklahoma, back where it had all started.
Nelda loved spending time with her family, watching her grandkids and great grandkids play ball or just play at her house where there were always plenty of snacks. Nelda was blessed beyond measure, as her final days here on this earth brought her comfort and peace provided by the wonderful staff at Elkview General Hospital and then the staff at Hobart Nursing and Rehab. There are not enough words to thank them for their service to our communities here in Kiowa County, we are blessed with, the best.
Nelda was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
