Monty Ray Roubideaux

Monty Ray Roubideaux, 49, of Riverside, California passed away Saturday, May 21st, 2011. He was born December 11th, 1961 to Murray "Red" and Julia Ann (Yeahquo) Roubideaux. Monty lived in Riverside, California and was employed at Sherman Indian High School for the past ten years. He was a Home Living Assistant at Kiva Boys Dorm. Monty received his General Equivalency Diploma at Anadarko High School in Anadarko, OK. He was trained as a Disc Jockey at the American Broadcasting School in Oklahoma City, OK. He attended "SIPI" Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Cameron University. He also attended Mechanic School at Kiowa/Caddo Vo-Tech in Fort Cobb, OK. He was an enrolled member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma and Caddo/ French, Iowa and Otoe Tribes. His hobbies were listening and downloading "old school", new school, soul and other music. He enjoyed watching videos, boxing and strumming his guitar. Music was his passion as he played the coronet instrument in school. He loved "California Living", namely the radio stations and theaters which is the " Entertainment Capitol of the World" and taking the boys to the beach and Walmart. His favorite place to eat were "Flo's Country Kitchen" and " Popeyes Chicken Fast Food". As a child he was taught to know about the Creator, and as an adult he received his spiritual guidance from his Higher Power Therapy. He leaves a host of family, friends, and co-workers who loved him and will miss him.

He is survived by his mother, Julia Ann Roubideaux, Riverside, CA
one daughter, Catherine Begaye Roubideaux, Aztec, New Mexico
one brother, Michael Roubideaux and wife Mikki, Bayfield, CO
nieces and nephews:
Seth, Kai and Alexandria Roubideaux from the Southern Ute Tribe in Ignacio/ Bayfield, CO
Kenda Roubideaux, CA
Hailey Autaubo, Caddo County

He was preceded by his father, Murray Roubideaux, maternal grandparents, Maurice and Mary Toppah Yellowhair-Yeahquo, paternal grandparents, Joseph Roubideaux and Matilda Vetter of the Otoe Nation


Wake Service: 7:00p.m., Friday, May 27, 2011 at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home Chapel, Carnegie, OK
Funeral Service: 11:00am Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Cedar Creek United Methodist Church, Carnegie, OK
Burial will follow at Tanedooah Cemetery, Carnegie, OK
