Mona Dobbs

Mona Dobbs, 74, of Rocky, Oklahoma passed away July 22, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on April 19, 1945 in Thorton, California to Wyanard and Mable (Kelley) Slaughterback. They moved to Rocky, Oklahoma when she was 15 years old. She's been a resident of Rocky for over 50 years. She married Lynn Dobbs on January 10, 1966 in Rocky, Oklahoma. Mona was 20 years old and Lynn was 19 years old and they were united in marriage by James Dobbs; they were happily married for 53 years. She lived with Richard and Wanda Slaughterback for a year, and Fred and Nora Diffendaffer for 4 years. Mona was a CNA at Cordell Christian Home for 13 years. She also worked at the Dry Cleaners in Cordell for a year and a half, and at Kellwood in Clinton for 3 years. She was a member of the Church of The First Born. She enjoyed sewing and playing games with her family. She also enjoyed cooking, especially big holiday meals.
