Mildred Ruth Lynch, 86, of Carnegie, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2023, at the Corn Heritage Village in Corn, Oklahoma. She was born on March 28, 1937 at the home place near Oney to Louis Logan Claud and Elta Faye (Flud) Rogers.
Mildred grew up around Oney where her family had a grocery store, at the age of 7 they moved to Washita, Oklahoma to run another grocery store that Claud bought. They later moved to Carnegie, where she graduated from Carnegie High School in 1955. While working in her parents grocery store in Carnegie, a tall, dark, handsome Marine in his dress blue uniform came in. She said "I'm gonna marry that boy." and she did. Christmas of her Senior year she received an engagement ring. Three months after graduation on August 6, 1955, she married Johnny Lynch in Anadarko. They were blessed with two daughters, Sandy and Sherri. Mildred continued to work at the family grocery store, Rogers Grocery in Carnegie. She was a clerk for Caddo Electric office in Carnegie. She was a avid quilter but what she enjoyed most was teaching Rrevelation Bible studies and her Sunday School class. She loved her church, her family, and will be missed by those who she left behind.

Great grandchildren: Morgan, Zane, & Ian Lasley, Hydro, OK
Preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Lynch, Parents Claud & Elta Rogers, and a brother JR Rogers.
