Michael Ray Pettit

Michael Ray Pettit, 65, of Anadarko, OK passed away April 28, 2017 in his home. He was born on April 5, 1952 in Long Beach, CA to Harley Glen & Mary Louise (Rhamy) Pettit. Michael met Janie Brito and they married on September 27, 1974 in California. He and Janie moved between Oklahoma and California where Michael received training as a mechanic. He worked to restore classic cars in California for 25 years and later retired from Anadarko Public Schools. His favorite cars to work on were usually the 1956 or 1957 T-Bird models. Michael was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church where he also did janitorial work during church functions and on a normal basis in Anadarko. Michael loved mentoring the people around him.

Survivors include his wife, Janie; sons, Larry Pettit & wife, Reshelle and Roby Pettit & wife, Rae; brother, Marvin Pettit; sister, Cindy Engel & husband, Russell; grandchildren, Emori, Abbee, Addy, Miriam, Beniya and Noah. He was preceded in death by his parents.
