Michael John Horsechief, 38, of Anadarko, Oklahoma passed away unexpectedly on October 12th, 2020 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was born December 25th, 1981 to Miguel Escamilla Contreras and Dena Dale Horsechief in Lawton, Oklahoma. Michael grew up and attended school in Gracemont Public School, Riverside Indian School, and Anadarko Public School. He was a member of the Wichita Tribe and a descendent of the Pawnee Nation. Michael enjoyed hanging out with friends and having a good time, he loved watching the San Antonio Spurs. He never had a bad thing to say about anybody, he always laughed and joked with everyone. Michael made a lot of friends & new extended family. He loved music, he spent the summers listening to the oldies but goodies music. As a toddler he liked to run through the hallway at his grandmother's house using a broom as a guitar yelling "Tears for Fears." He also enjoyed watching wrestling with Kerry Von Erich. Michael was a laid back young man, he would give the shirt off his back or his last dollar if anyone needed it. He attended the Harvest Time Church and the Lil Stecker Church with his mother, he was always by her side until the day she left this world and he had always talked about going to see her. Michael always liked to tag along with his sister's Lucy and Jennifer. He was also known for his cooking, making his favorite stew. Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
