Melva J Evans

Melva J. Evans, 82 ,of Oklahoma City, passed away on April 24, 2015, at the Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City. She was born on April 4, 1933, in Carnegie to Jasper and Maggie (Hill) Edwards. She was united in marriage to Leon Evans in Mt. View in 1951. To this union was born one son, Shawn. She worked for the Government as a secretary. She attended Eastlake Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma City.


Survivors include husband, Leon Evans, Oklahoma City, OK
one son, Shawn Evans and wife Esther, New Zealand
two grandsons, Joel Evans, New Zealand
Reuben Evans, New Zealand
numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.


She is preceded in death by both parents, brothers, Louie Edwards, Henry Edwards
and Richard Edwards.


Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2015, at Ray & Martha's Funeral Chapel in Carnegie, OK.
Officiating will be the Rev. Lacy Evans
Burial will be at the Carnegie Cemetery, Carnegie OK, under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home in Carnegie, OK.
