May Etta Bedford, 65, was born January 8, 1948, to Glen Wesley and Rosa Lee (Burnley) Davis in Anadarko. She passed from this life on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, in Anadarko.
May Attended school at Lincoln Elementary, Anadarko Junior High and Anadarko High Schools. When she was younger, she dabbled in upholstery but was mainly a homemaker most of her adult life.
May was a member of and attended the Morning Star Baptist Church until its closing. She enjoyed gaming at the casino with her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents,1 granddaughter, Teanna Davis and 1 sister, Rosemary Small.
Survivors include; 1 daughter, Tonja Davis-Brown and husband Homer of Anadarko, 1 son, Ryan Davis and wife Nina of Lawton, Oklahoma, 1 brother, George C. Davis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends including her companion of 17 years, Benny Ross of Anadarko.
A graveside service will be held at 2 P.M., Saturday, July 20, 2013 in The Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko with J. C. Burrus officiating. A pot luck dinner will be held at Grace Christian Fellowship after the service. Services are under the direction of Steverson Funeral Home.
