Matthew Pena (Gah-Kohn), 55, of Oklahoma City, OK, entered into rest on Sunday, January 4, 2015. He was born February 27, 1959 in Oklahoma City to Raymond Patrick Pena, Sr. and Carmaletta J. (Quoetone) Wahnee. He is a direct descendant of Longhorn and Pai-Ah-Tay. Pai-Ah-Tay was the daughter of noted Kiowa Chief Santana. After attending school in Oklahoma City, he transferred to Carnegie OK, and graduated from Carnegie High School in May of 1978. He then graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma. He went to work for Oklahoma Publishing Company ( The Daily Oklahoman) for 25 years. Matthew was an avid Marathon runner belonging to the OKC Running Club, the Kiowa Tia Piah Society and the Kiowa Native American Church. He was also a member of the Metro Camera Club.

Funeral Service: 11:00a.m., Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the First Baptist Church, Carnegie, OK
Burial will follow at the Carnegie Cemetery, Carnegie, OK
