Mary Catherine (Clarke) Williams,
It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Catherine (Clarke) Williams announces her passing on November 13, 2018, in Corn, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years. Mary was born February 1st, 1931, in Winfield, Kansas to John Allen Clarke and Hazel Dora (Taylor) Clarke.
Mary lived a vibrant and full life graduating Kansas State University, marrying Lawrence (Bill) Dean Williams, and eventually moving to San Jose, California where they raised their daughters. She had a career as a medical technologist and retired from Los Gatos-Saratoga Community Hospital in 1987. After Bill's passing, Mary relocated to Oklahoma to be closer to family. It is here that she met her good friend and traveling partner of many years. Thomas Jones. After Tom's passing, Mary relocated to Worcester, Massachusetts where she lived for several years and met Herb Keilson. The two of them forged a strong bond over their love of bridge and politics. In 2017, Mary moved back to Oklahoma, residing at Corn Heritage Village.
Mary was a warm, caring and forgiving soul. She was generous with her heart and pocketbook. She will be remembered by the many lives she touched over the years.
Mary will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Cathy Williams and partner Phillip Smith of Cordell, Oklahoma and her daughter Karen Williams and spouse Cindy Donges of Worcester, Massachusetts. Mary is also remembered by her dear grandson Jason Donges-Williams, also of Worcester, who brought tremendous joy into her life. She leaves behind her brother Joseph Clarke and his wife Krystyna of Marion, Ohio, her good friend Herb Keilson, and many nieces and nephews along with their children and grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and siblings, James Clarke, Elizabeth VanMetre, Virginia Stout, and Margaret Shrauner.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 1:00 PM, at Miles Funeral Service, 4001 E. 9th Ave. in Winfield, Kansas. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery northwest of Winfield.
