Mary Ann Stoup

Mary Ann Stoup, 80, of Hobart, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on October 18, 2024. She was born on September 22, 1944, to Curtis and Annie Myrtle (Mandrell) Foust in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Mary grew up and attended school in Hobart, Oklahoma. She married Doyle Houston Stoup on June 4, 1962, in Roosevelt, Oklahoma. Mary began work at the old hospital in Hobart at the age of 15 and continued her work as a nurse aide and physical therapy assistant at the new hospital until 1978. Mary went on to received her Cosmetology License and was a Cosmetologist from 1981 to 2015. Mary was a wonderful mother and an even better Nanny. Taking care of others making sure they were well fed was something that came natural to her. She was an amazing seamstress and quilter. Baby blankets and afghan blankets were a specialty of hers. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Great Grandchildren: Dreyton Callahan, Alexia Callahan, Channing Davis, Ashtyn Martin, Kynli Cummings, Rowyn Martin, and Kirsten Cummings.

Preceded in death by her Parents: Curtis Foust and Ann Sheets , Step-Father: Ruel Sheets, and Brother: Burl Foust.

Visitation: 1:00 p.m.~ 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2024
