Mary Lynette Steverson

Lynette Steverson, 84, former resident of Anadarko, passed away on August 13, 2019 in Yukon, Oklahoma. She was born on August 11, 1935 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Bryan A. and Aurora (Cassingham) Maggert. She graduated from Central High School in 1953, and went on to attend college at William Woods University and Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma. Lynette married Joe Ed Steverson on December 26, 1956 in Oklahoma City. She worked for the treasurer's office and later retired from the County as the Election Board Secretary. She became a funeral director in 1963 and she and Joe opened the Steverson Funeral Home in May of 1986 until she sold the business in January of 2015.
