Mary Janelle Owings

Mary Janelle Owings of Gracemont was born Dec. 10, 1951 and passed form this life peacefully at home on Oct. 11, 2020 at the age of 68. Janelle always felt she had a calling to minister the word of God. She attended Rhema Bible School and studied the Bible. She believed in the power of prayer and through her studies she became a prayer warrior and intercessor. She was a member of the Gracemont Assembly of God Church.
Janelle worked many jobs that included Utotem Convenience Store, Capitol Hill Bank, Hollytex Carpet Mills, Tony's Appliance Store, Gingerbread House Daycare, Anadarko Greenhouse, Lunch Lady at East Grade School, Gracemont City Hall, Caddo County Courthouse, Delta Nutrition and most important she cared for her mother, grandparents and her friends.
Janelle was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Kathryn Compton; her grandparents, Vernon and Alpha Daniels, and Euell and Irma Compton, and her great-grandson, Maximos Leonard.
Janelle is survived by her daughter, Kathy Butler; her grandchildren, Zackery, Tyler and Kyle Leonard and Holly Rednose; her great-grandchildren, Lakenzie, Persaeus, Evander and Penelope Leonard, Benecio Hernandez and Gianni RedBone; her brother, David Compton and his wife Mary Ann; her nephews, Richard Compton and Matthew Compton and wife Ellie; her niece, Laura Compton; her great-nephews Ian and Sean Compton; her dear friend, Bobby Butler, and many friends and family.
