Mary Joyce Milton, 84, of Anadarko, was born October 29, 1930, to Charles Crawford and Clara Lela (Shaw) Reece in Alfalfa. She passed from this life on Saturday, May 30, 2015, in Oklahoma City from complications after a fall three months ago that resulted in a fractured hip.
Joyce attended Fairview School, Fort Cobb Schools and in the ninth grade, went to Anadarko High School graduating with the Class of 1947. In October, on her 21st birthday, she married Malcom I. Upon their return to the U.S., Tony and Joyce settled in Anadarko and became co-owners of the Black Beaver Motel. She later owned and operated the YuNeek Gift Store in downtown Anadarko for 32 years. Joyce was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church until its closing and later attended the First Christian Church. She was also a member of the Philomathic Club, the Fort Cobb Master Conservancy District and the Anadarko Community Library Trust.
