Mary Etta Maddox

January 19, 1943 — October 11, 2018

Mary Etta Moler Maddox, known to family and friends as Sugar, passed away October 11th, 2018. She was born on January 18, 1943, although the doctor didn't make it until the 19th, to Tip and Laura Moler of Hammon, Oklahoma. Sugar grew up in Hammon with her brothers: Bill, H.R., and Wallace, and sisters: Voncille, Gretta, and Molly. On March 4, 1961, she married L.V. Maddox. They settled in Butler, Oklahoma, to build their life together. They raised 4 children, 7 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Sugar loved to cook. She loved family get-togethers and watching her kids play.

She is survived by her children: Julie Maddox of Sentinel, Oklahoma,
Cody and Carla Maddox of Sentinel, Oklahoma,
Bobby Maddox and wife Marla, Sentinel, OK,
Mitzie and Terry Miller of Sayre, Oklahoma,
grandchildren: Bobby Lynn Maddox and wife Danielle of Elk City, Oklahoma,
Clint Maddox and wife Jennifer of Sentinel, Oklahoma,
Blake Maddox and wife Samantha of Sayre, Oklahoma,
Mckensey Maddox of Sentinel, Oklahoma,
Chance Maddox of Elk City, Oklahoma,
Cailey Maddox of Sentinel, Oklahoma,
Lynzea Miller of Sayre, Oklahoma,
great-grandchildren: Lennox Vance Maddox, Jett Maddox, Jovi EttaMaye Maddox, Cayten Maddox, and Aubree Maddox
1 brother Bill Moler of Elk City, Oklahoma,
1 sister Twilla Moler of Arkansas,
and 1 sister-in-law Joyce Moler of Elk City, Oklahoma.

She is preceded in death by her parents Tip & Laura Moler, husband L.V. Maddox, and great-grandson Jaxon Maddox.
