Mary Francis Lovell was born October 18, 1927 in Calvin, OK to John ad Opal (Cobb) Sneed and was called home by the Lord on May 20, 2020, age 92, at her home in Anadarko surrounded by family.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Lovell; 2-brothers, Odell Sneed and U.S. Sneed and 2- sisters, Jenny (Sneed) Clayton and Wilma Jean (Sneed) Hickson.
Mary was raised in Carnegie, Oklahoma where she attended High School and was saved at the age of 11 years old at the Carnegie Baptist Church.
She was united in marriage to the love of her life George Lee Lovell on June 2nd, 1945 in Anadarko. Shortly after their marriage they moved to California where they lived for four years. They then moved back and built their home in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma where they stayed and farmed and raised their family.
Mary taught Sunday School and led the singing at Oney Baptist Church for many years. She loved serving her Lord.
Mary and George retired and moved to Anadarko in 2002. They became members of the Anadarko Baptist Church. She also worked as a Pink Lady with the Auxiliary at the Anadarko Hospital. She thoroughly enjoyed around people and never met a stranger. Once you met Mary You would never forget her. She will be forever missed by her friends and family.
Mary loved traveling, camping at the lake, and going on mission trips with George to lots of different places. She was an Avid Bowler and belonged to many leagues at Indian City Lanes. She went to many bowling tournaments and even traveled to Las Vegas to Bowl with the Pro. She and her husband Also square danced for many years. They belonged to the Patty Squares in Anadarko then later joined the Swinging chicks in Chickasha. Mary and George were very active and have met many friends along the way in their many adventures. She Loved frequenting her Local Wal-Mart to visit with whomever she could run into to visit.. One of her favorite things was doing things with the Grandchildren, Great Grand Children and Great-great Grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons Mike Lovell and his wife Becky, Gary Lovell, all of Fort Cobb; two daughters Tamera Scarberry of Minco, Jennifer Brewster, and her husband Gary of Fort Cobb. 12 grandchildren: Shawnna Hawkins and her husband Ted; April States and her husband Marty; Kim Jackson and her husband Howie; Dustin Holsted; Eric Lovell and wife Stephany; Misty Raines and her husband Brian; Steve Koch; Robin Slater and husband Chance; Rocky Brewster; Brian Koch; Shana Howser and husband Tyler and Kevin Lovell. Twenty-three great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren
Services will be Saturday May 23, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Anadarko Baptist church graveside to follow at the Fort Cobb Cemetery in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma.
